About Us

The Bacchus Marsh Basketball Association (BMBA) had its inaugural junior season in 2012 with 300 members. Now, with over 900 members, the BMBA continues to grow and thrive while providing a family-focused, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for basketballers of all ages, skill levels, and abilities.

The Committee of Management administers the Association, which includes a domestic competition with 4 fully affiliated Clubs, who independently administer teams in competitions ranging from U8 to U19. Clubs can also enter teams in the Men’s and Women’s competitions along with non-Club affiliated teams.

In addition, since 2015 the BMBA has entered representative teams each year into the Victorian Junior Basketball League (VJBL).

The BMBA is committed to providing pathways for its players and as such also enters both a Men’s and Women’s team in the Country Basketball League (CBL).

Specialist Hoops, an all-abilities basketball program, is also affiliated with the BMBA, providing a safe and fun learning environment for players with a disability.

Introductory programs, skills clinics, coaches’ clinics, player development programs, and referee recruitment and development are also key responsibilities of the Association.
