VJBL Tryouts

Please see the Bacchus Marsh Basketball Facebook page for dates and times for tryouts.

We will send reminders about tryouts in the lead up to them being held, and send out season information to registered tryout participants in the week prior to tryouts.

Players must be registered to attend tryouts. (Link to Register above).

Players who have previously played for another VJBL squad team (not a domestic team) MUST complete a Permission to Train form. This will also apply to Lions players trying out at other associations as well.

 

Calendar

8^th – 20^th October – Lions tryouts U12/U18
TBC – Lions tryouts U20s
23^rd October – teams announced
27^th October – Lions training begins
15th November – VJBL grading begins (U12-18)

Arrival

Please arrive 15–20 minutes before your tryout to check in and get your tryout number.

 

What to bring

Basketball (must be named!), Drink bottle, and Reversible dark/light singlet or dark/light coloured t-shirts.

 

Viewing tryouts?

No parents are able to be in the court area for tryouts.

 

Coming from another Association?

You MUST have Permission To Train from your previous association. Click here to initiate the process (Instructions are on the online form).

Congratulations to the coaches and we thank them for putting up their hand to allow our players to participate in this higher level of basketball competition.

 

How many teams will we have in each age group?

This will depend on tryout numbers, skill level of players and availability of suitable coaches.
